Onions, Feta, and Figs Tart (Flammekueche)
Preparation time: 30 min | Servings: 4 | Difficulty level: Easy

Ingredients
For the dough:
- 1 pre-made Flammekueche dough (store-bought or homemade) or Thin Pizza Dough
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the filling:
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 4 to 5 fresh figs, sliced
- Lemon and Parsley Alcyon Salt
- Optional: a drizzle of honey for added sweetness
For finishing:
- Fresh basil leaves
- Optional: a drizzle of honey

Preparation
1- Preheat your oven to the highest temperature possible (usually around 250°C or 480°F).
2- Roll out the Flammekueche dough, transfer it onto a baking sheet or pizza stone lined with parchment paper.
3- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they are tender and starting to caramelize, about 10 to 15 minutes. Then add the balsamic vinegar and continue cooking until the onions are well caramelized. Season with a pinch of Lemon and Parsley Flavored Alcyon Salt, as well as a pinch of regular salt and pepper.
5 - Brush the olive oil over the rolled-out dough. Spread the caramelized onions evenly over the dough.
6 - Place the tart in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 to 12 minutes, or until the crust is golden.
7 - Remove the tart from the oven and let it cool slightly. Arrange the sliced figs on top of the tart, then crumble the feta cheese over the figs. Garnish the tart with fresh basil leaves.
8 - Sprinkle an extra pinch of Lemon and Parsley Flavored Alcyon Salt over the top of the tart to enhance the flavors and then serve it.
Tip:
For an even more flavorful touch, drizzle some honey just before serving for a perfect sweet-savory contrast!
